Teaching Our Roman Catholic Homeschoolers (TORCH) is a support group with over 80 families in and around Montgomery County, MD.

Many members gather together for First Friday Mass, academic and enrichment classes, playgroups, book clubs, sports, field trips, and much more. Some of the larger, more formal academic classes and activities require a yearlong commitment and enrollment, while many of the smaller, more home-grown activities are planned by members looking to foster Catholic friendships close to their home or parish with children that have similar interests.

We have, as our foundation and as the guiding principle of all our functions and activities, fidelity to the teachings or the Roman Catholic Church, particularly to the Pope, who, as successor to St. Peter, is the universal teacher in matters of faith and morals, and to the diocesan bishop teaching in communion with him.

Until we disaffiliated in July 2011, we had been the Mother Seton Chapter of TORCH.
